East Carolina Bank is a state chartered, independent, community bank founded in 1919 and opened for business on January 20, 1920. The bank provides a full range of financial services through our 25 offices covering eastern North Carolina from Currituck to Ocean Isle Beach, and Greenville to Hatteras.

At year-end 2011, East Carolina Bank had 230 full-time employees. East Carolina Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, the American Bankers Association, the Independent Community Bankers of America, and the North Carolina Bankers Association. The Company's common stock is listed on the NYSE Amex under the symbol “ECBE”.
