Qualifications
The only thing easier than qualifying for Reward Checking is shopping with someone else's money. Which is exactly what you'll be doing! Simply do the following during each monthly qualification cycle:
- Have at least 10 debit card purchases post and clear
- Receive e-statements online
- Have at least one direct deposit, automatic debit, or online bill payment post and clear
That's all you have to do to get free money. But if you don't qualify, no worries. Reward Checking is still completely free and still earns our base rate of 0.05% APY*.
*Minimum to open account is $100. Annual Percentage Yield (APY) accurate as of 04/01/2011. Rate tiers are as follows: 3.01% APY applies to balances of $.01-15,000 and 1.01% APY applies to balances over $15,000 if qualifications are met during the monthly qualification cycle. 0.05% APY applies to all balances if monthly qualifications are not met. All balances will earn 3.01% APY to 1.01% APY if monthly qualifications are met. Rates may change after the account is opened. The advertised Reward Checking APY is based on compounding interest. If the interest earned in Reward Checking is automatically transferred to Real Saver each statement cycle the interest in Reward Checking does not compound. The actual interest amount paid may be less than the advertised APY. The Real Saver APYs may be less than the Reward Checking APYs. Fees may reduce earnings. Qualifying transactions must post and clear to the account during the monthly qualification cycle.
